The Matrix Reloaded, Revisited

I have one complaint about the Matrix phenomenon: the hordes of pathetic fan-boys that came out of the woodwork to show us all what deep thinkers they are by waxing philosophical about the whole Matrix concept. *yawn*. And then there are the uber snobs who tell everyone how disappointed they are because The Matrix Reloaded is too heavy on the action and more style over substance than its predecessor.

My response to these faux-intellectuals: Shut up. Just shut the fuck up. Your minds have been clouded by excessive amounts of time spent masturbating to pictures of Agent Scully. If you're looking for depth in these movies, you are a very misguided individual. They are essentially action movies, not meant to be (and shouldn't be) taken all that seriously. On that level, they are immensely entertaining.

But, if you're too elite to just take it for what it is and have fun... Well, what can I tell you; just go back in your room and lock the door. Agent Scully awaits.
